Closer to hell

As time passes by, I’m leaving behind a road that never comes back. Step by step, mistake by mistake, I’m singing and sinning this life. Days of horror and love, nights of bottles and words. Places that I’ll never know, memories of childhood and home. And all, it all will burn, it all will become dust. And all it all will burn as I’m getting closer to hell. Running and running to arrive as late as I can to my grave, digging and digging to get as far as I can from my fate. Lord, I’m closer to hell.

Listen to that endless pounding, like a thousand voices crying for help. A penitent sinner begging for mercy, it’s the sound of a broken heart. See the rain falling upon me, like the sharpest knives cutting deep in my skin, hear its deadly whisper. It’s the sound of a broken heart. But don’t sigh my love, I’m sure tonight you’re not alone. Cry, cry, my soul. I will not find rest till the end of this world. The strength of the youth left me years ago, and now you can see in the bottom of my eyes I’m a sick and tired soldier looking for shelter, hear the sound of my broken heart. Me, I’m a preacher of sadness, unearthing old memories to sleep by their heat, so I can warm my creaking bones while the wind screams the sound of a broken heart.

Fight for love

I’ve been thinking about hate, and how it appears and hurts. I’ve been thinking about men, their guns, their tears, their pain. For me, just makes no sense, so hard to understand. Something must be done to stop all this. Change the blood and scars for melodies. I’m showing you my heart so follow it and fight for love. Fight to have another toast with friends, another endless night to share. Fight for all the poets before they fail, or these world will get so dark. Fight for all the mothers and their lullabyes, bringing the children’s smiles. Fight for all the men who can’t be free and pray for them with your whole heart. Don’t give up, this world’s for us, so face the dark and fight for love.
